John Root
John Root was born on January 10, 1850 in Lumpkin, Georgia. He was partnered with Daniel Burnham, and put in charge of the World's Fair with Burnham.
This would soon become a masterpiece partnership, as Burnham and Root complement each other. Burnham handled the sticky and dreadful people skills that Root lacked, and Root being the architectural connoisseur behind this duo. People admire Root for his intelligence and his craft, including Burnham. This dream being short lived however, for Root, he passes quickly after the fair is underway. He made a great work of his life, this brilliant, dark hair, dark eyed man will never bo forgotten, and never to be forsaken. He helped create the 1893 Chicago World's fair.
