Daniel Burnham
Daniel Burnham was born on Septermeber 4, 1846 in Henderson, New York. He is the protagonist in the novel, and is an extremely well beyond talented Chicago architect, who lead a partnership with John Root, who then passes and leaves Burnham the task of building the 1893 Chicago World's fair, or the World's Columbian Exposition. Burnham is haunted by a lack of formal education. This major architect wanted to subside to Yale or Harvard but was denied. Still Burnham was no less motivated by his pride and determination that one would need to finish at the time, the world's greatest accomplishment. Burnham was the "person in charge" of making this World's Fair happen, and so he did, by landing the help of soon to be close friends, he finishes the fair, forever to be remembered in history. Besides all of this, he was handsome tall and strong, with vivid blue eyes, this landed him his wife Margaret, whom he married January 20, 1876.
